
JOB TITLE: FLEXO STACKER
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Flexo Stacker’s basic duties are to assist operator in machine set up. The Flexo Stacker’s main duties are to stack bundles of finished boxes from the Flexographic printing machine and form them into the desired unit for our customers.
The lifting requirements for this position vary with each job, but mainly consist of lifting cartons that weigh from 2-10 pounds each and inspecting them for conformity. When stacking they may be required to assist in loading the feed table with the Feeder. The two employees, lifting together, can lift from 10-50 pounds of cartons at a time. The weight of each handful being determined by the crew based on the size of the carton. The job requires some bending at the waist and pushing units on a gravity roller conveyor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Lifting from 2-10 pounds frequently.
Lifting 10-50 pounds intermittently.
Standing and/or walking continuously.
No Sitting during work (only at breaktimes).
Pushing and pulling occasionally.
Simple grasping and fine manipulation using hands.
There is no use of the feet to operate controls.
There is climbing on to the machine occasionally.
There is no overhead work.
The work environment is inside of a building. (fans/heaters)
Bending and squatting are required occasionally.
OTHER SKILLS
Flexo Stacker must be able to read and write.
Must be able to use a tape measure down to 1/16” increments.
Must be able to do simple math (adding/subtracting).
